VALDESE, NC – Six trucking companies have merged to form a new organization, according to morganton.com.
The merger brings together Four Truckers of Morganton, NC; Furniture Transportation Systems of Pomona, CA; Milwaukee Delivery Service of Jefferson, WI; Palmer Transport of Ontario, CA; Rudisill Transportation of Hickory, NC; and Warren Trucking of Martinsville, VA. The new company, World Wide Logistics, will transport furniture to all 50 states, according to company officials.
A release from the company said the merger is due to changes in the home furnishings industry.
“We listened to the furniture industry and have created the most complete solution in the marketplace,” said Dan Hunt, WWL CEO. “This world class organization takes the specialized transportation services for the home furnishings industry to a new level. The structure of WWL maintains the existence of the underlying subsidiary companies intact and operational. This ensures that our customers will continue to enjoy the same personal relationships that they have had in the past with each of the WWL companies going forward.”
