RED BLUFF, CA -- Sierra Pacific Industries, a forest products company, is laying off 37 employees at its Red Bluff, CA, millwork plant, the company announced to staff Feb. 16, according to the Red Bluff Daily News. The lay-offs are attributed to declining market conditions due to the nation-wide slump in housing starts having reduced the demand for some of the products Sierra Pacific manufactures. Read more.
