SIBO 2008 to Move to Laval"s Place Forzani

MONTREAL - Vance Communications Canada announced today that Salon Industriel du Bois Ouvré  (SIBO) 2008 will move to Place Forzani in Laval, QUE, Oct. 23-25, 2008.

SIBO is Quebec's only trade show dedicated exclusively to secondary wood products. Vance acquired the event from Reed Exhibitions Canada in December 2006.

"“As new owners of SIBO, we feel it is important to continue to present a professional atmosphere for SIBO to grow and be a leading source of education and information for the industrial woodworking industry," stated Harry Urban, senior vice president of Vance Communications. "It came to the point where SIBO had outgrown the facilities in St. Hyacinthe. The demand for more space from exhibitors and the projected growth in attendance compelled us to look for another venue."

Place Forzani, built in 2003, will allow SIBO almost 35% more exhibit space and a number of new meeting rooms for an expanded educational program. "A commitment we made when acquiring SIBO, was to increase the seminar program to include a wider range of topics to provide an additional draw for attendance," Urban added. "SIBO is the largest and best attended woodworking event in Quebec, but we still see more opportunities for executives to learn and network with their peers."

The SIBO seminar program will be announced in the spring of 2008 in print and at the SIBO Web site at www.sibo.ca

For more than 20 years, SIBO has been the leading industrial woodworking source in Quebec. It is the premier showcase for machinery, materials, supplies and technology for manufacturers of cabinets, furniture and other wood related products. It is attended by over 5,000 professionals from across Quebec, Western Canada and Europe.

Vance Communications Canada, is a subsidiary of Vance Publishing Corp. of Lincolnshire, IL, a trade magazine publisher and owner of trade shows for the woodworking industry including the National Cabinet Conference & Woodworking Expo, Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo and the Woodworking Machinery and Supply Expo in Toronto.
