EMERYVILLE, CA â Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) announced the promotion of Nick Kordesch to the newly created position of marketing and communications specialist for the companyâs Natural Resources division, which includes the companyâs Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification services. Kordesch also will lead marketing efforts for SCSâ growing Carbon Offset Verification program and responsible biofuels certifications.
A third-party sustainability and environmental auditor, SCS is reportedly the leading FSC certification body in the United States.
