DULUTH, GA — SCM Group USA will host a fall educational seminar and open house on Oct. 20 and 21 in Atlanta, GA. Topics will focus on improving profitability and productivity through lean manufacturing as well as software, tooling and machinery innovations. The event will be held at SCM’s headquarters in Duluth, GA, on Oct. 20, and at the Advanced Wood Products Laboratory at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, on Oct. 21.

Sessions on day one will cover CNC architectural millwork and stair manufacturing, moulding, CNC door manufacturing and software presentations. There will also be a factory tour of cabinet door manufacturer Georgia Hardwoods Inc. Day two will include an overview and demonstration of SCM machinery and Planit software products, a session on nested-based manufacturing and a roundtable discussion.
