KANSAS CITY, MO — Schutte Lumber Co., a provider of lumber and panel products, recently received chain of custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council, a nonprofit organization that promotes responsible forest management.

“We try to be leaders in the market and are very conscious of the environment,” owner Dan Fuhrman said. “From the forest to the job site, products are tracked every step of the way. Certification is a challenging, meticulous process, and we will follow up with annual audits.”
