PARK FALLS, WI – Saunders Wood Specialties was recently honored at the annual Park Falls Area Community Development Corp. (PFACDC) gala as the recipient of the 2009 Business of the Year Award. At the event, PFACDC Administrator Frank Kempf told presenters State Representative Mary Williams; Marjorie Bruce, regional representative for U.S. Senator Herb Kohl; Karen Graff, northern region representative for U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, Park Falls Mayor Tom Ratzlaff; and other attendees how Saunders growth and achievements in business have benefitted the area economically for the past 32 years.

“It’s another great day in Park Falls,” said PFACDC President Sam Pritzl. He thanked Manager Candy Jones and Saunders President Dan Tuohy for being a great contributor to the community, and he acknowledged Saunders as “the hidden treasure, tucked away behind the pulp yard and seen by few”. He praised the companies integrity, being built on customer service and quality products.
