WESTBROOK, ME – Saunders Brothers, a manufacturers of wood dowels and wood components, has implemented lean manufacturing at its plants in Fryeburg and Locke Mills, ME.

“All 188 employees of Saunders Brothers, from the president of the company, through corporate office personnel and all plant employees, went through the same intense training program presented by Time Wise Solutions,” said Josh Saunders, president.

Kathy Jellison, Saunders new super scheduler for both manufacturing facilities, said, “The next stage is Value Stream Mapping in which a lean team is assembled and works directly in plant areas to streamline production. This is where we learn to help ourselves with train the trainer sessions to think lean.”
