Sauder Woodworking to Cut Products, Staff

ARCHBOLD, OH — Toledoblade.com reports that furniture manufacturer, Sauder Woodworking Co., said it will reduce the number of ready-to-assemble furniture products it makes. 

The company plans to concentrate on its best-selling items in order to help with quality, cost and delivery. The company also announced that it would eliminate 70 to 80 jobs this year to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Most of the downsizing is expected to be handled through normal employee turnover and the use of temporary staffing.
