RHO, ITALY – The 2008 edition of Sasmil, the international exhibition of accessories and semi-finished products for the furniture industry, will take place in February instead of May as originally planned. Sasmil, which has long run in tandem with Xylexpo, will now coincide with MADE, an exhibition devoted to architecture, design and building construction, Feb. 5-9, at the Milan Fairgrounds in Rho.

Xylexpo is scheduled for May 27-31, also at the Milan Fairgrounds.

According to a press release issued by Cosmit SpA, organizers of the biennial furniture supply fair, “Bringing the exhibition forward to February means that exhibitors and visitors alike will have a chance to meet at what is an optimum time of year at an international level for the selection of components and accessories that will become an integral part of the new collections, destined to be showcased by furniture manufacturers the following year.
