CLEVELAND – According to the study Home Organization Products Forecast for 2011 & 2016 by The Freedonia Group Inc., sales of home organization products in the United States are forecast to increase 4.5% per year to $8.6 billion in 2011. Products for use in the garage are expected to have the strongest gains through 2011, increasing 8.0% per annum.
“Value gains will be driven by the ongoing introduction of products with a decorative look or specialty features,” Freedonia said. “Empty-nest families will seek to organize their accumulated possessions in smaller homes. Children of these baby boomers will move into small dorm rooms and first apartments that require organization for comfortable living.”
The complete 214-page report, “Home Organization Products,” is available for $4,400. For further details, contact Corinne Gangloff at (440) 684-9600 or visit www.freedoniagroup.com.
