HAM LAKE, MN – Safety Speed Cut is marking its 50th anniversary.
The company was founded in 1958 in a garage in Minneapolis by Gene Olson, who had an idea to develop a vertical panel saw that would accurately cut parts and take up less space.
Over the last 50 years, the company said it has sold more than 60,000 machines.
Today the company operates out of a 36,000-square-foot facility and specializes in vertical panel saws and vertical routers. It plans to introduce a new line of American-made edgebanders branded as EZ-Edge.
