ROSEBURG, OR - Roseburg Forest Products recently laid off almost 120 workers in Douglas County, OR, because of poor market conditions.

According to KMTR, the layoffs include 32 hourly and four salaried workers at the company's plywood plant in Riddle; 54 hourly and five salaried workers at the particleboard plant in Dillard; and 22 hourly workers at the plywood plant in Dillard. The privately held company is the largest employer in Douglas County with about 2,100 workers after the layoffs. It employs about 3,600 workers across the country.

Last month, Roseburg announced plans to close its MDF mill in Holly Hill, SC.
