WASHINGTON — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Robert Bosch Tool Corp. of Mount Prospect, IL, announced a voluntary recall of 9,700 Bosch Hammer Drills sold at Menards, other hardware retailers and industrial distributors between July 2007 and April 2008. 

The blue hammer drills have “BOSCH” printed on the side. The model number 1191VSR is located on the product nameplate mounted on the dies of the motor, as well as on the package the product came in. Only drills with a serial number starting with “7” are included in the recall.
