PENACOOK, NH — Thirty-six workers at Rivco, a manufacturer of windows, doors, kitchens and related millwork, were laid off Dec. 20, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. The company, which calls itself New England’s largest manufacturer and distributor of windows, doors, kitchens and related accessory millwork, operates out of a 240,000-square-foot building in Penacook, NH, and employs nearly 300.

New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch said the state Rapid Response Team would be deployed to help the laid-off workers. Rivco, which remains open, is working with the state to provide assistance to the workers.
