DIXON, IL -- Raynor Worldwide Inc., a privately-held supplier of residential and commercial garage door products, will bring 30 new jobs to its Dixon, IL, location when it closes its Duncan, SC, manufacturing and distribution center and moves two of its product lines to Dixon, according to saukvalley.com. The Duncan facility, which employs about 45, will close June 15 after seven years in operation.
Dennis Ruetten, senior vice president of operations, said the consolidation is necessary for Raynor to remain competitive in terms of lead times. "Producing these products and shipping them directly from Dixon will allow us to be more flexible," he said.
