Rainey Smick Rejoins WMIA Staff
PHOENIX, MD – Rainey Smick has rejoined the staff of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Assn. (WMIA) as assistant executive vice president. She will work with WMIA Executive Vice President Bill Miller, CAE in running the day-to-day operations of the organization and implementing the strategies and programs developed by the group’s board of directors.

Smick previously worked for WMIA as meeting and member services manager from 2000 to 2004. During that time, she played key roles in all WMIA programs including the annual Woodworking Industry Conference, the International Woodworking Fair, marketing initiatives, membership recruitment and retention, financial management and communications. Prior to working with WMIA, Smick spent 18 years working with the Maryland and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Associations.

“We are thrilled to have Rainey back on our team,” Miller says. “She brings a wealth of knowledge about association management and specific WMIA programs. Also, her energy and enthusiasm will make her an asset to the organization now and in the future.”
