Purdue University and Wood & Wood Products team up for second ‘Green’ conference

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – The second annual “Dollars & Sense of Going Green” conference is being organized by the Department of Forestry at Purdue University and Wood & Wood Products. The two-day educational program will be held Nov. 19-20, 2009 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel in north suburban Chicago.

Last year’s program held in Indianapolis brought together more than 250 wood products professionals, industry suppliers and industry association representatives.

This year’s Dollars & Sense of Going Green conference will address a variety of industry best environmental practices, ranging from using certified woods and reducing finishing emissions to trends in green design and recycling manufacturing waste.

The first day of the conference will conclude with a networking reception featuring table-top exhibits hosted by representatives of board products, woodworking machinery and supplies.
