Pulaski Furniture Exiting U.S. Manufacturing

PULASKI, VA – Pulaski Furniture announced it will close its last U.S. manufacturing plant by late April in favor of importing all products from foreign sources.

The plant closing will affect about 260 employees involved in the production of curio furniture.

“This is part of a trend within the furniture industry that continues the shift of domestically manufactured furniture to off shore production, especially to Asia," said Vice President of Operations Lamont Hope. "Our competition, by moving production off shore, has created such pricing pressure that our domestic operation can no longer compete.”
