FRANKFURT, GERMANY – Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, a mid-market private equity company, and its co-investment funds signed agreements to acquire the majority in Homag Group AG, a manufacturer of woodworking machinery. Currently holding a 21.4% stake in Homag, Deutsche Beteiligungs will be acquiring an additional 43% of the shares. The acquisition of the majority is targeted at restructuring the shareholder base of the largely family-owned company. The purchase agreements signed November 15, 2006, are subject to the approval of regulatory authorities. Homag is distributed in the United States by Stiles Machinery Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI.
