Plum Creek reopens plywood mill after injuriesCOLUMBIA FALLS, MT --

Plum Creek reopened its plywood plant here on August 17, after putting in new safety procedures to address two separate forklift-related accidents that happened within 24 hours of each other.

The plant was closed for two days, giving Plum Creek officials time to review safety measures at the plant. The previous week, one employee reportedly lost fingers caused by an unsecured forklift load. The following day, August 12,  injured a worker's fingers in the first incident. The other unspecified injury also reportedly involved a forklift, according to the Missoulian.

The plant employs nearly 150 workers.
