NORTH VENICE, FL — PGT Industries, a storm window and door manufacturer, reported a net loss of $1.8 million in this year’s first quarter compared to net income of $800,000 in the same period in 2007, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The company reported total revenue of $54.8 million for the first quarter, a decrease of $17.8 million from the first quarter of 2007. The company has twice made major layoffs to reduce operational costs and now employs about 1,500 at its three plants. Read more.
