Pella raises $130,000 for JDRF
PELLA, IA -Pella Corp.,  a manufacturer of windows and doors, earned the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) World Achievement Award,

presented by the Greater Iowa JDRF Chapter, for leadership in helping others.
 
Pella team members raised $130,602.21 in their seventh official year of JDRF support.

“Thanks to the leadership shown by Pella Corporation team members in the United States and Canada who have collectively raised more than $1.77 million for diabetes research, we’re helping make a difference in the lives of those with diabetes,” Pella President and CEO Pat Meyer said. “JDRF has earned a reputation as one of the most efficient charities when it comes to converting money raised directly to vital research and Pella Corporation is proud to help support their important cause,” Meyer said.
 
Thomas elected to JDRF Board, Krafka Harkema retires
In addition, Pella Public Relations Manager Kathy Krafka Harkema retired from the JDRF Board of Directors, after six years of volunteer service, most recently as JDRF vice president of communications. Pella's Director of Information Technology (IT) Operations, Jim Thomas, was elected to now serve on the Greater Iowa Chapter Board.
