PORTLAND, OR – Parr Lumber has been selected by its natural gas supplier, NW Natural, to participate in the Smart Energy program to offset its natural gas usage at its Hillsboro headquarters and Portland-area facilities.

“NW’s Natural’s Smart Energy program allows Parr Lumber another opportunity to reduce our impact on the environment and support environmental efficiencies in our communities, which is a major initiative for our company,” said Jennifer Swick, director of marketing of Parr Lumber. “We’re happy to see our efforts embraced by our customers and our employees.”

Smart Energy is designed to support projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
