LEXINGTON, MS -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Lexington Homes Inc. of Lexington with 40 safety and health violations bearing penalties totaling $60,076.
OSHA said it opened a health inspection in April under its National Emphasis Program on Recordkeeping, but after observing numerous safety violations expanded the review to a complete inspection of the facility.
Lexington Homes was cited for 32 serious safety violations with $54,826 in proposed penalties. Serious violations include failing to install guardrails along open platforms; failing to train workers on lockout/tagout procedures regarding energy sources and permitting oxygen and fuel gas cylinders to be stored together.
