OSHA Rewards "Star" Safety to Potlatch’s Lewiston, ID, Facility

SEATTLE – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has approved Potlatch Forest Co.’s Consumer Products Lewiston, ID, for continued participation in its Voluntary Protection Program at the “Star” or highest level of excellence in safety and health.

“Maintaining the demanding standards required of the VPP for almost 10 years is very impressive,” said Rich Terrill, OSHA’s regional administrator in Seattle. “This achievement clearly reflects the company’s continuing commitment to a strong safety and health program.”

The Potlatch Lewiston operation has 592 onsite employees involved in the production of facial tissue, bathroom tissue and similar products.
