WARREN, PA – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Forest Service have formed an alliance to promote workplace safety and health for employees in the Allegheny National Forest.
The alliance will train employees working the 513,000-acre national forest in safety and health program administration, as well as identification and prevention of forestry-related hazards. Major goals include providing information and guidance on OSHA standards and developing workplace safety and health curricula specific to the operation of the Allegheny National Forest and its district offices.
OSHA operates more than 470 alliances throughout the nation with trade associations, labor organizations and employers.
