Office Furniture Industry Shows Weakness

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The latest industry index for the office furniture industry from Michael A. Dunlap & Associates registered a 49.21 for April on a scale of zero to 100, down from the January index of 52.44 and continuing a steady slide that began in mid-2007, according to mlive.com.

The outlook of executives responding to the quarterly survey was 48.08, down from the 48.18 in January when it was less than 50 for the first time since the index began four years ago.
