NFPA seeks input on combining ComDust standards

WASHINGTON -- The National Fire Protection Association Council is seeking input on the potential combining of five NFPA standards into a new combustible dust standard.

NFPA's new combined standard could be the basis for a the fedeeral standard being contemplated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
 
Specifically, NFPA staff proposes combining NFPA 61, NFPA 484, NFPA 654, NFPA 664 and NFPA 665.
Anyone interested in commenting on the proposed combination of these documents is invited to do so in writing. Responses should be send to Codes and Standards Administration, NFPA, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02169-7471. The deadline is June 11, 2010.
