New Woodworking School to Open in Washington

PORT TOWNSEND, WA – The Port Townsend School of Woodworking is having its grand opening on Saturday, March 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

The school, founded by Jim Tolpin, John Marckworth and Tim Lawson, offers courses on cabinetmaking, furniture making, historic preservation and traditional woodcrafts. The school is located in the Old Power Plant in the Fort Worden State Park. The machine room will not open until June; all courses in the Spring term will focus on hand tools and portable power tools.
