NARI Launches Pilot of Green Remodeling Course
DES PLAINES, IL -- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry launched the pilot of its new Green Remodeling program.

The Green Remodeling course is designed to provide remodeling contractors with a foundation in Green Remodeling that they can incorporate into their businesses. It will address energy efficiency, resource conservation and air quality. NARI noted that buildings consume 40% of the earth's total energy, 25% of its forests and 18% of its metal resources.

NARI President Everett Collier said, "Green remodeling is beneficial because it results in lower operating costs for the home, increased comfort and resale value, healthier living, less maintenance and higher durability."
