SAN DIEGO, CA
- An architectural millwork and woodworking business in San Diego, Montbleau and Associates, Inc., was named the 50th fastest growing business in Fortune magazine's Inner City 100, a recognition program established with the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City - icic.org.
Montbleau, with 2009 revenues of $40.2 million and 120 employees, reports a five year annual growth rate of 31 percent. Among its signature projects was the massive Las Vegas' CityCenter, a LEED certified development, covering 67 acres, that used more than $41 million worth of FSC-certified wood - the greatest amount in a single building project in the US to date. Montbleau, which also has an office in Las Vegas, was among the largest contributors of FSC-certified millwork and cabinetry to the project.
Headed by Ron Montbleau, the company has been producing architectural woodworking, cabinets and fine furniture since 1979. Montbleau's UV Finishing line produces a high quality durable and pollution free finish. Sprayed finishes of catalyzed urethane are applied in a climate controlled spray booth when applicable. Installation supervision is provided on projects from wall partition layout through completion of installation. Skilled craftsmen, managers and supervisors are used to manage projects; union projects are staffed by union installers.
