- Wood industry hardware inventors are invited to submit design ideas to Doug Mockett & Co. The hardware distributor is hosting its 25th annual  Design Competition aimed at discovering the most innovative and creative furniture parts, accessories, and hardware. Winning contestants, such as the bracket shown here, are placed into production and sold through Mockett's sales channels. Deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.

Up to four  First Place winners will be awarded $1,000 each, receive an engraved trophy, and a royalty based on sales. Doug Mockett & Co. says royalties reach six figures each year. Woodworking hardware Design Competition details are listed here>>
