Miller Cabinet Co.'s tax credit funds hiring, expansion
The Miller Cabinet Company, LLC, Plain City, OH, expects to add 53 workers as it expands into an additional 11,500 square feet. As a result, the privately-held firm, founded in 1945, was awarded a 45 percent job creation tax credit by the State of Ohio Department of Development.

Miller Cabinet will receive the tax credit for a six-year term based on its planned expansion project. The state estiamtes the value of the tax credit at $190,945 over the six year term, while Miller Cabinet is required to maintain operations at the project site for nine years. The Miller Cabinet Company specializes in custom cabinetry, commercial casework, mill work, stone countertop fabrication, and tile sales. The expanded facility and improvements, which will cost an estimated $525,000, will house Miller Cabinet's custom cabinetry manufacturing operation. In addition to creating 53 jobs, the cabinetry firm's expansion will retain 27 positions.
