MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Mereen-Johnson Machine Co., a manufacturer of woodworking machinery, announced April 19 that it will consolidate manufacturing and equipment assembly from Minneapolis, MN, into its existing facility in Webster, SD. The company will continue to provide sales of machinery and parts, engineering, accounting, customer service and technical support for Mereen-Johnson and its Woodstream Machinery subsidiary from its Minneapolis corporate headquarters.
“We will advance our strategy of developing a flexible and effective manufacturing system for our line of legendary equipment by consolidating in Webster,” says Harry Miller, CEO of Mereen-Johnson. “These improvements in manufacturing capability will improve our costs, delivery, quality, scheduling and planning efficiency, which will enable us to focus more of our energies toward our customers.”
The company also stated that Mereen-Johnson’s Board of Directors approved the formation of a team to explore new headquarter sites, to include the corporate headquarters and showroom facilities, to train customers on how to get the most from Mereen-Johnson’s and Woodstream’s equipment line.
