â Masco Retail Cabinet Group, a division of Masco Corp., one of the world's largest manufacturers of brand-name consumer products for the home, is entering the market for DIY closet organization systems with Home Options Storage Solutions.
Available exclusively through Lowe's home improvement stores, the systems are targeted both to consumers and to builders as upgrades from wire shelving systems.
The offering consists of a one-box Starter Kit that contains one tower, a cabinet with three adjustable shelves, three adjustable rods, three full-extension drawers and one 48-in.-wide shelf, beginning at a price tag of $200 for classic white. The product carries a three-year limited warranty. Masco says installation is an easy weekend project for the DIYer of average skill level.
Available in 36-in., 27-in. and 18-in. widths and 14-5/8-in. and 19-1/4-in. depths, Home Options Storage Solutions are offered in four finish selections â white, cashew, truffle (available in-store) and barley (available by special order). Construction features include durable, one-piece side panels, quick-connect fasteners that lock panels together in seconds, and full backs and toekicks, Masco says. Corner towers, pants racks and shoe cubbies wide enough to hold both shoes in a single bin are available options.
Consumers will be able to begin their closet and storage planning at a dedicated Web site, homeoptionsstorage.com. A landing page, available now, describes the products. The full Web site will launch May 17 and will enable consumers to design custom storage for any room in the house using simple templates. They can either print a shopping list and visit a Loweâs store or buy online at Lowes.com.
