WARROAD, MN — William S. “Bill” Marvin, who led the growth of Marvin Windows and Doors from a regional lumber company to a world-renowned manufacturer, died August 31 at his home in Warroad, MN, according to the Rainy River Record. He was 92 years old.
Marvin was born on August 25, 1917, in Warroad, MN, and was a past president and a member of the Window and Door Manufacturing Assn. (WDMA) for 45 years, and also served on the Board of Directors. He was involved in the Northwestern Minnesota Manufacturing Assn. and served as the director of the National Woodwork Manufacturers Assn. from 1979-1981, as well as being a member for a number of years.
