Power tool manufacturer Makita has joined Industrial Distribution Group (IDG) and Cagnazzi Racing to form IDG Makita Power Tools Racing Team in NHRA Pro Stock. Dave Connolly, a 21-time NHRA Pro Stock event winner, is the team's driver.

IDG Makita Power Tools Racing made its debut at the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals in Charlotte, NC, Sept. 16-17.

IDG Makita Power Tools Racing is the latest in Makita's growing presence in racing and action sports. Makita and Suzuki's long term partnership has yielded over 20 championships in Supercross, Motocross, Superbike, ATV, and Amateur - including Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey's historic 2010 championship run in Supercross and Motocross. Makita is also a sponsor of Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing in short-course off-road racing, and Scheuring Speed Sports in snocross racing.
