MOORESVILLE, NC -- Lowe's Companies Inc., a home improvement retailer, announced Dec. 15 the promotion of Larry D. Stone to president and chief operating officer, effective immediately, according to PRNewswire. Stone previously served as senior executive vice president of merchandising/marketing, and will continue to report to Chairman and CEO Robert A. Niblock, who has served as president since 2003.
