Louis and Company Backs Texas Woodworking Show

 

DALLAS -- Louis and Company has thrown its support behind the 7th Annual Texas Woodworking Show & Cabinet Conference. The Brea, CA-based distributor of hardware, decorative laminates and other products, is the major sponsor of the three-day event scheduled for March 7-9, 2007, at Market Hall of the Dallas Market Center and the adjacent Renaissance Hotel.

The new national Cabinet Conference also has five association partners, including the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn., the Architectural Woodwork Institute, the Cabinet Makers Assn., the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals and the Wood Component Manufacturers of America.

The Texas Woodworking Show, March 8-9, is organized by Custom Woodworking Business and Wood & Wood Products magazines. The Texas Show will feature live machinery and software demonstrations, plus a large assortment of cabinet and furniture hardware, supplies and related products.

The Cabinet Conference: Manufacturing Strategies for the 21st Century, March 7-9, kicks off with a trio of full-day educational workshops on March 7. Featured presenters and topics include W&WP columnist and consultant Tom Dossenbach on Lean Manufacturing, CWB columnist and consultant Tony Noel on The Custom Cabinetmakers Business Guild and Tony Perno, managing partner of Casework Technologies, on Successful Cost Estimating & Bidding.

The three-day Cabinet Conference also includes a dozen one-hour seminars, plus two free keynote presentations by the KCMA. One of the keynotes will focus on environmental issues as they relate to cabinetmakers and the other will look ahead at opportunities and challenges facing the cabinet industry.
