Leitz Tooling Systems, a member of the worldwide leading manufacturing group of machine tools for processing wood and advanced materials, announced the appointment of Dan Murphy to the position of vice president of sales for the United States and Canada.

Murphy brings 12-plus years of woodworking machinery/abrasives experience.

Leitz Tooling Systems is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, which has been headquartered in Oberkochen, Germany for 136 years, and employs 4,700 worldwide.

Leitz Tooling Systems is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, with a manufacturing facility in Jasper, IN, as well as 11 service centers across the United States and Canada.

Leitz Tooling is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
