WEST SALEM, WI —

John Lautz, owner of Lautz Custom Builders, announced his bid for Wisconsin’s 94th Assembly district seat.

One of many Republicans in the race to fill the seat of Mike Huebsch, who left to become Secretary of Administration for newly elected Gov. Scott Walker, Lautz, in a release, says his experience running Lautz Custom Builders is an asset that will help him “encourage business growth” in his district.

Although Lautz has held no previous public elective office, he currently sits on the West Salem Economic Development Committee, and in 1992 he spoke before Congress at a hearing on the impact of current economic growth proposals on small business.
