MONROE, MI – La-Z-Boy Inc. announced a restructuring plan that will include the closure of several facilities. The closures include its Lincolnton, NC, and Iuka, MS, upholstery manufacturing facilities, its rough mill lumber operation in North Wilkesboro, NC, consolidation of three operations into one at Kincaid’s Taylorsville, NC, upholstery operation and the elimination of various other positions.

La-Z-Boy’s Lincolnton facility employs 250 people and accounts for approximately 5% of the company’s branded business total upholstery manufacturing capacity. Operations will cease at the Lincolnton plant in July, with production shifting to the company’s Newton, MS, Siloam Springs, AR, and Dayton, TN, facilities. The Iuka facility employs approximately 150 and produces sofas, love seats and upholstered chairs. The Iuka facility is scheduled to close in early May. Consolidation of the North Wilkesboro rough mill lumber operation into the Hudson, NC, facility, along with the consolidation of the Taylorsville facilities and the change in the company’s structure, will eliminate approximately 100 positions.
