Jones Plastic reaches half-century mark

Louisville, KY-based injection molding company Jones Plastic has announced its 50th anniversary.

In 1961, Harry and Larry Jones put together funding from family and friends to start a one-machine operation. Two years later, they added another machine. Over the years, the company continued growing. The company started out making whiskey caps for liquor bottles; in the early 90’s; they pioneered the use of gas assist, high-speed molding and component kitting. The firm now has 1 million total square feet of plant space in various locations and employs 2,400 people; Rev-A-Shelf is a division of the company.
