JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Police recently arrested a man wanted for attempting to sell plywood panels disguised as flat screen TVs.

According to First Coast News, Chavarrio Tyrone Thaxton, 31, reportedly was arrested Saturday following an anonymous tip on the charge of organized fraud.

Police allege that Thaxton took part in a series of fraudulent TV sales, including one in October in which he approached someone at a billiards club, offering a flat screen TV for $500.

The would-be buyer insisted on plugging the "TV" in and learned that it was a piece of plywood elaborately covered in garbage bags.
