COLOGNE, GERMANY - intezum, the international showcase of furniture and cabinet supplies, has booked exhibit space for 612 companies as of June, putting the 2013 event 8% ahead of comparable space sales for the interzum 2011 made by June 2010.

Matthias Pollmann, project manager of interzum said 195 of the initial exhibitors are German companies and 417 are from abroad. Several of the halls of the Cologne Fairgrounds are already sold out.

In a departure from from previous shows, interzum, May13-16, will be held after LIGNA, the world's biggest woodworking machinery event. LIGNA is scheduled to take place May 6-10, 2013 in Hanover, Germany.

interqum 2013 will be buoyed by the co-loaction of the InnoMateria trade fair and congress. InnoMateria focuses on new materials and their use for furniture production and interior finishing.
