NEW YORK-- Huttig Building Products Inc., a domestic distributor of millwork, building materials and wood products, said on April 19, it recorded a loss in its first quarter ending March 31, because of restructuring charges, according to Reuters.

The company said it had a net loss of $3.4 million, or 17 cents per share, down from a profit of $2.4 million, or 12 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

The loss from continuing operations was $3.2 million in the 2007 first quarter, or 16 cents per share, compared with income from continuing operations of $2.4 million, or 12 cents per share.
