MUSCATINE, IA – Office furniture manufacturer The HON Co. announced it is laying-off some of its employees, though it does not plan to release the number of people who are losing their jobs, according to WHOtv.com.

HON’s Vice President of Member & Community Relations Gary Carlson said the company has tried many things to offset the rough economic times. The company last laid off workers in late 2008 and says it has also tried short work weeks to save money.
