Homag sees huge sales boost in Q2
SCHOPFLOCH, GERMANY -- Homag Group AG, a global manufacturer of machinery and plants for the woodworking industry, said it resulted in a positive second quarter of 2010, as sales rose by just under 50 percent to approximately $231.9 million, compared to $156.3 million in the same period last year.

CEO Rolf Knoll attributed the improvement in the order situation to a return to increasing demand for flexible, high-performance production systems, innovative products as well as to the Homag Group’s global presence, especially in the growth markets in Asia and South America.

"The second quarter confirmed that we have recovered quickly and sustainably from the massive setback caused by the economic crisis and have returned to the course for success,” Knoll said.

Homag is represented in the United States by Stiles Machinery Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI.
