GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Holzma U.S.Manufacturing Solutions Seminar, Oct. 25 at Stiles Machinery in Grand Rapids, MI, will present three distinct wood manufacturing concepts, each focused on meeting a different type of woodworking production requirement.
Applications shown will incorporate cost-saving ideas to help meet the challenges of shorter lead times, greater customization needs, and shorter run quantities. Solutions will be presented for: 1.) custom work cell for product flexibility; 2.)mid-range work cells for production quantities; and 3.) high production work cells for volume manufacturing.
Presentations will also address woodworking industry trends, new directions in software technology, developments in functional hardware, and the role the tax code can play in equipment acquisitions.
Also covered will be a variety of software products, including Holzma's CutRite optimization software; simplified material handling that is also space saving; parts tracking software, improving parts flow, and eliminating errors; and product labels incorporating RFID chips for tracking finished wood products through shipping and on to the job site.
